Norelle and Clinton’s Margaret River Wedding
It was so beautiful to share this Destination Wedding with you both, not only because of the amazing locations for your wedding ceremony and reception, but that the area is so meaningful and sentimental to you both – very magical. Every little detail you included, like your Grandmother’s little clock on your signing table, was heartfelt and sentimental. I so loved that your Dad cried at the reveal Norelle even though you thought he wouldn’t! The day was simply stunning and the sparkler send off at the end a great finale! Enjoy your new journey into married life together!
Lots of Love Karen & Vince x
HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET? These two love birds started off as “Room Mates” when Norelle rented a room from Clint. He asked her how long she thought she would be staying – and it turns out – it’s for LIFE!
FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO AS A COUPLE This adventurous pair love beach activities, time spent in the south west of WA, crabbing, fishing, bike riding, cooking and going to Rottnest.
THE PROPOSAL On 26th July 2019 Clint proposed on a trip to Singapore in the Gardens by the Bay right in the middle of downtown Singapore, where the flowers never stop blooming – an neither does love – very romantic!
THE DRESS Maddie from Lutka Boutique helped the Bride choose the most amazing lace gown! With her dancer’s build, Norelle really pulled it off beautifully!
THE FLOWERS Helen Holland worked her King Protea magic (symbolizing change, transformation, diversity, courage and daring) for this wedding. The striking petals resembling a colourful crown in the wildflower bouquet were perfect for this elegant, rustic wedding. Cape Flora in Quindalup created the florals.
ACCOMMODATION The Bride and her bridesmaids all spent the night before the wedding at Killara, Yallingup Sidingwhere they got ready the next day and we got some cute PJ shots of them! This is also where the couple would spend their wedding night. The Groom got ready at a private home in Dunsbrough.
CAR Karl from Belair Affair transported the Bride to the Ceremony and then the happy couple from the Ceremony venue to the Reception venue in fitting retro style, in his vintage 1964 Chevrolet Belair.
CELEBRANT The couple chose the “Queen of Love” in Margaret River, Emma Dickson to marry them and they wrote their own unique, heartfelt wedding vows – where the Bride promised to share everything, including her food - except when it’s crab! Much to everyone’s amusement!
THE CEREMONY VENUE Yully at Woodlands Winery in Wilyabrup was so accommodating when we scoped things out at the rehearsal and the staff were just fantastic to make sure we got the best vines for the couples after ceremony wedding party portraits.
THE RECEPTION VENUE Fran Musetti made sure everything worked like clockwork and the set up looked amazing at Rustico at Hay Shed Hill Margaret River. We had lunch there the day before when we were scoping out the locations – and the food and wine was simply delicious!
CAKE Summa Taylor from Sweet Stylin in Dunsbrough is a true artisan who personalises all her cakes because she believes if it can be imagined she can create it! She certainly didn’t disappoint this happy couple the cake was a work of art in keeping with their rustic wildflower theme!
MUSIC by MDV Music Mark and Marisa De Vattimo came from Bridgetown, to not only provide the music and vocals for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, but Marisa was also the MC for the evening (she also let out a little secret that she is now also a Wedding Celebrant Married by Marisa)!
FAVOURITE DETAILS
This was such an amazing wedding from start to finish it’s really hard for me to pick – but I think for me personally my absolute favourite parts would be the Bride’s Dad crying at the reveal even though everyone said he wouldn’t, the shot I got of the gorgeous Flower Girl running through the vines at Hay Shed Hill and the couple’s sparkler send off at the end of the evening – awesome fun! I can’t wait for the next Margaret River Wedding!
