One of my Bride’s recently shared with me that she was feeling very stressed as she had to give her DJ her music playlist and with just over a week until the wedding it wasn’t coming together for her. I reassured her that the important thing was to make sure her “special songs” such as their entrance and first dance were done and that she could honestly give the DJ an idea of the age groups attending and the couple’s favourite decade and trust them to come up with an awesome playlist on the night.
Another option if you have the heads up is to include the question on your RSVP asking which songs will get your guests up and dancing and make sure the list is given to the DJ. Or you can have a bowl on the night with slips of paper and a pen for people to put in their requests and instruct the DJ to give priority to them.
